         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>Guiding question</strong></div><div>How do we experience different forms of energy?</div><div>&nbsp;</div><div><strong>Task</strong></div><div>You will be given one of the following types of energy to research in more depth: light, heat, electrical, elastic potential, gravitational potential, chemical potential, kinetic, sound or nuclear.</div><div>&nbsp;</div><div>Your aim to is make a 2-minute presentation informing a Grade 6 audience about your type of energy and its everyday uses.</div><div>&nbsp;</div><div>Use the 5W’s &amp; H (What? When? Where? Why? Which? &amp; How?) question strategy to write some relevant questions that you will answer in your presentation.<br><br>You will share your questions and answers on this Padlet.&nbsp;<br><br>You will then use your research to create a presentation with one slide for each question.<br><br>You need to include the following:</div><div>- Accurate information<br>- Examples of how and when we use the type of energy<br>- Picture and/or diagrams<br>- A practical demonstration (speak to me about nuclear energy)<br>- A speaking part for each member of the group.<br><br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Technically flat lenses could focus on light if they are built properly... but most of them aren't, here's why.<br><br>Let's first go over what a lens is. A usual lens is supposed to be a glass specifically curved so that light can rays can shine through it.<br>This process is called (Refraction.)<br>&nbsp;Whenever a ray of light travels from one transparent material, such as air, into another transparent material, such as glass, it changes direction (except in the special case of the light's direction being perfectly perpendicular to the interface). Why it doesn't work is because he light bends because one material has electrons that interact more strongly with the light passing through it than the other material, causing the light to slow down and bend.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>
