My grandma and grandpa were the first members of my family to come to the U.S. Then later on, my mom and uncle came. They all had to go through the U.S/Mexican border. And they all came here for a better life.
2.What were the obstacles that they met?
The obstacles they met were running, getting hurt, money problems, and other dangers.
3.What was going on Historically in the U.S. during this time and did it affect your family? Around this time, the U.S increased immigration caps to 700,000 annually. The country began to invest in border security to discourage unauthorized immigration. But in exchange allowed nearly 1.7 million Mexican immigrants in the 1990’s.
