I was thankful. This is something I've thought of doing before, but didn't have the technical expertise to get it done. I really need to learn Excel.

This will get us closer to "college-like" syllabi than just going with the flow. I used to chop up standards and attempt to hit them in quarters. This will have me planning a whole year out early allowing for more adjustment. We can't do a straight college syllabus, but this gets us closer to the concept. This would give the students a better idea of what is due when and allow them to get further ahead.

ELA.6 - Engage in Discussions. It goes up to 4 pieces of evidence in years three and four. I think 2 would be a more appropriate number.

I think this was comparatively a lot easier than what I did in a traditional school, where I used to make lesson plans every week. But the lesson plans that I made every week were detailed with much more content and resource details.

There are 3 requirements in ELA.1 versus 2 requirements in ELA 2. I feel like they should be the same.
