- The rich (Mark Maloney, COW Williams etc)
- The people (because Barbadians are very direct and will tell you if you are not doing good)  
- We have 2 main political parties: The Democratic Labour Party and the Barbados Labour Party (DLP and the BLP). The DLP was in office from 2008-2017. The last DLP leader was Freundel Stuart and many consider that a very terrible time in 21st-century Barbadian politics. The island had a tremendous amount of debt from the IMF (international monetary fund), a terrible pothole and sewage issue, the free tertiary education system was removed for many years during this time etc. It was so bad that when we had elections in 2017, the Barbados Labour Party led by opposition leader Mia Mottley won 30 nil (all 30 seats in the House of Assembly were from the BLP). This then led to the election of Mia Mottley as the First Female Prime Minister the island has ever seen. In the island, Prime Ministers typically serve for at least 4-5 years and then they recall elections no Prime Minister can serve for more than 2 terms I think (the longest-serving Prime Minister was Owen Arthur who served 8-10 years). Our federal government is broken into the legislative, judicial, and executive branch, but they effectively only control international relations and ensure that state policy falls in line with constitutional rulings from the judicial branch. State governments generally follow in a similar pattern, but this can vary slightly from state to state. All governments are kept in check by their respective constitutions, which just tell them what policies some random men from 200 years ago would want them to follow. However, policies can not be made in contrast to this, or they will otherwise be struck down by courts.

We have elections at all levels of government, for the majority of positions. However, our national elections are very deeply corrupt, and there are notable restrictions put into place intended to mitigate the rights of POC (especially BIPOC), women, the lower class, and young people. In 2018 he amended the constitution and removed the supposed term limit on his rule. Although the Chinese government/Communist Party of China is historically authoritarian, Xi Jinping has made unprecedented dictatorial decisions that no previous generation can compare. She is young and popular (this is her 2nd term, after a landslide win) but her COVID policies were extremely unpopular so the National Party (right wing) will most probably win the elections next year. 

Our voting system is unusual, it's MMP (Mixed Member Proportional Representation) which means voters get two votes: one to decide the representative for their electoral district (Member of Parliament), and one for a political party to lead the country. 

I didn't agree with the way that the government responded to COVID, but I still support the Labour Party and I like Jacinda Adern, especially in terms of international relations she has been very successful for NZ

- Most liberal and democratic country among Arab and Muslim countries (even tho we still have monarchy)

If someone decides that they want to change something, they need to get enough people to sign their proposal and then the entire folk can vote about it (but only people with the swiss nationality and over the age of 18 are allowed to vote). Our council is devided into three: national council (about 200 people), council of states (two people per state) and the federal council (7 people). The federal council members are the representatives of the nation, however they can not create any laws on their own. It‘s put together by two left winged, two right winged, two centralists and one economic focused politicians. This is called the golden rule and is the formula for the federal council since 100 years. But because the interests of the folk changes, they definitively should change the formula (incorporate the green party instead of two socialists).

For election, every Swiss can put them selfs up. There are a lot of parties and there are more and more young people who get voted for. However, the councils are dominated by elderly people. Many young Swiss are frustrated by that, because society gets older and by that the voice of old people stronger. The members of parliament are paid an insane amount of money which is taken from tax payers and that causes a lot of fights in the nation. We've had one president since 1986 to this day and although he has helped us develop our country a lot since we became independent, right now change is what is need. As with other citizens in Uganda, i think it would be very beneficial to see a new face as our president but after having one president for so long, I'm not sure how willing i am to risk change.
Last year we has our general elections which we have every five years. Elections in the past have been know to cause a lot of problems in Uganda but last year they were relatively peaceful. However, there were certain events that may have led to this. There was a new political party which was becoming very popular and had younger candidates with different plans for change. Modi is part of the BJP political party, which advocates social conservatism and a foreign policy centered on nationalist principles. Since Modi was first elected, the BJP have increasingly sought to define India as a Hindu-nationalist state, openly declaring anti-Muslim ideas and policies. Social and political Islamophobia in India continue to rapidly rise, an increase build on many decades of discrimination against Muslims. Most recently, the BJP passed a Citizenship Bill that offered asylum to only non-Muslim immigrants from neighboring countries. Our government consists of ministers, state secretaries and the king. Our prime minister is Mark Rutte he is leader of the VVD which stands for People's Party for Freedom and Democracy. To be able to rule and implement laws etc there are multiple party's which are chosen by the public which debate together. I support my prime-minister and his party. In the view of the Netherlands regarding other party's the VVD is more to the right and liberal but still progressive. When you reach the age of 18 you are allowed to vote, you vote for the party you want, and you also vote for a person within that party. so, for example if you want a woman to be more important within that party you can vote for that person. The government has proven selfish because despite being a titan in the oil industry we still lack heavily in the power supply sector due to the government encouraging oil industries to sell off oil to other countries instead of using it for ourselves, and the people don't even reap the profits of the trades. In addition to this, in 2020 there was a major protest to end SARS, a police group that has been harassing and killing youths, and the government disbanded them, but just brought the group together, and changed the name of the group, even though the same people were in it.

 Xi Jinping, the paramount leader of the Chinese Communist Party(the party that which gripped China for over seven decades since the founding of PRC) is now heading towards a unprecedented third term in terms of party politics. While regressively crashing civil society and private sectors, Xi and his “own people” are gradually pushing 14 billion people on a war apparatus—with no return. As a result of mass surveillance and a highly-controlled internet throughout the polic state, though a huge number of normal Chinese people are threatened by Xi’s most extreme policies (e.g. zero-COVID, the expulsion of so-called “low-end population” in Beijing), very few one are allowed-or even not dared-to voice up against Xi. 
  Sadly, the open and reforming up policy is now completely distorted, if not completely abandoned. The”tuanpai”, which represents the relatively liberal members inside the party, are now restricted or expelled by Xi, from the Politiburo-the top leadership of this party state. The former leader Hu Jimtao-which represents a more open and liberal China- has been recently escorted out from the closing ceremony of 20th party congress.Global journalists witnessed the scene and regarded it as a symbol of Xi’s paramount power, on which no one should challenge. In regards to China’s civil society, Hu’s era was widely considered to be relatively more prosperous and vibrant, partially benefited from the historically successful Beijing Olympics, in 2008. The country recently turned to a presidential republic where Kais Saied has more power over the parliament. The assembly of representative of people in tunisia is mostly constituted of people from Ennahda (a party considered as a movement which is very Islam oriented and conservative) which created recently a political crisis between the president and the assembly. these last years, the political situation in Tunisia has been empowered by this crisis which led to the collapsing of the economy and the health system all over the country that led to several protest from the population. After all the issues that Ennahda created over the years that range from promoting violence and discrimination with a extremist religion point of view.
