When delaying a serve in badminton this means taking a little extra time before hitting the shuttlecock during the serve. This is usually done to throw off the opponent’s timing or to distract them. However, it’s important to remember that the delay shouldn't be too long, as it could be considered against the rules if the server takes too much time. This is shown in the link attached

In badminton missing a shuttlecock on serve means failing to hit the shuttlecock properly when it's served to you. This usually happens when the shuttlecock either goes out of your reach or you swing and miss it completely. It's considered a mistake and results in a point for your opponent. Above is a link.

A false start in swimming happens when a swimmer jumps off the starting block before the official start signal. This can happen if they react too early to the sound of the starting gun or move before the signal is given. If a swimmer makes a false start, they are usually disqualified or given a warning, depending on the rules of the competition. A link is shown above showing this.

Pulling rope in swimming refers to a training technique where swimmers use a rope or cord to simulate the motion of swimming without actually being in the water. It helps swimmers practice their arm strokes, build strength, and improve their technique. The swimmer pulls on the rope as if they are swimming through water, allowing them to focus on their arm movement and body position, making it a useful dryland exercise.
