A trackball is an input device used to enter motion data into computers or other electronic devices. It serves the same purpose as a mouse but it is designed with a move-able ball on the top, which can be rolled in any direction.
A trackball can be useful for persons who get pain in their wrists after long stints at the computer, especially if they are using the standard mouses. When the mouse is held in a ‘claw-like’ position, it causes your palm to be parallel to the desk, and it keeps your forearm in a perpetually twisted state. Twisting your wrist to the left or right as you point and click, can cause further stress. And that’s where the trackball comes in. The trackball, completely stationary, lets you dial in a comfortable, relaxed position and keeps it all day, while simultaneously freeing up your desk for mugs, post-its, chargers — whatever you want. https://padlet.com/referrals/samueldemar11
