Since 2009, Dr. Farhang Niroomand has worked with the University of Houston-Victoria, initially serving as a dean of the school of business administration for eight years. During this time, Dr. Niroomand oversaw 15 staff and 44 faculty members while fundraising and maintaining the school’s accreditation. He was also responsible for hiring and training new staff members and managing the school’s budget. After stepping down from this role, Farhang Niroomand continues to serve as a professor of economics and international business at the Victoria, TX-based university. Since then, he has maintained an active research agenda, taught, and performed professional services in both areas. As an undergraduate, Dr. Niroomand attended the National University of Iran, where he earned a bachelor of arts in economics. He subsequently obtained a master’s degree in the area at Michigan State University before gaining a doctorate in international economics from the same institution.
