Afrofuturism in my work consist of working with instructional coaches and educators to create meaningful learning experiences that are rigorous and joyful, connecting their identities to the world around them and have them seeking answers while questioning systems in society.

Afrofuturism in my scope of work consists of: Reimagining possibilities for students, families, and the Dunbar community by centering Black culture, history, innovation, SEL and creativity through partnerships. Creating pathways where our legacy informs our future—using storytelling, technology, arts, and collective empowerment to build thriving futures for students and their families.

Afrofuturism in my scope of work consists of overall program coordination - specifically with City As Classroom's Senior Internship Program. This work also consists of storytelling our outcomes through data collection.

Theory of Change - If we have a clear and concise action plan, then move our programming forward, so that we can have more meaningful impact.

The asset that I will lean on to carry this work will be my organization and action orientated skills.

Getting to know more of the teacher and staff in this building.

If we create culturally affirming, future-focused opportunities for students and families that celebrate Black excellence and innovation

Then students and families will feel connected, inspired, and empowered to engage deeply in their education and community,

So we will strengthen Dunbar as a hub of possibility where legacy and innovation meet.

Afrofuturism in my scope of work consists of working with all students providing meaningful and intentional learning experiences that prepare them for life after high school and adequately prepare them to own their own learning and have voice and choice.

If we had more time, then I would be able to complete necessary and meaningful tasks, so that students have those meaningful experiences and are able to advocate for themselves and have voice and choice.

The asset that I will lean on to carry this work will be having a positive mindset in order to collaborate effectively and do the work.
