-Heart disease is the leading cause of death among American women. Incorporating a healthy diet and enough physical activity can help the risks of this.
-Strokes are more common in women then men not only because of the risk factors of high blood pressure, and high cholesterol. But women are put more at risk for strokes because of birth control use, pregnancy, and hormone replacement therapy.
-Women have a shorter urethra, which means bacteria have a smaller distance to travel before they reach your bladder and start an infection. Healthy aging also includes refraining from smoking tobacco products and excessive use of alcohol. The choices you make for your skin when you are young will greatly depend on how you age. To protect against wrinkles, age spots, and skin cancer... Use an SPF of at least 15 daily, wear protective clothing and sunglasses, and visit a dermatologist regularly to keep track of any dark spots or freckles that your skin develops.
-Below is a link to an insightful podcast on how to age in the best way possible. :)

Davis, Charles Patrick. “Healthy Living: Tips, Facts, Ideas, and Tools for Success.” MedicineNet, www.medicinenet.com/healthy_living/article.htm.
