There are people who need treatment and it may not even be their fault that they need it. If we have the resources to help them, I personally think we should. Too many people are thrown into the drug world because of medications gone wrong or they had been pressured into becoming addicted. If there is anyone struggling, we should help them. Who are we to decide which persons are worthy of such help? Even if they are from other states, they are still our people. The problem of people from other states entering our state, could prove the positive to the economy and society of Georgia. However, the reliance of Georgia to become a Opioid Clinic may cause issues in the long run as populations in southern states fluctuate. While the neighboring states government's may become complacent to their own problems tossing the burden to Georgia. We should never turn anyone down when they're admitting they have a problem and trying to seek help. If we believe that taking care of our own state citizens is a problem then maybe we should form a waiting list prioritizing people by if they're local or out of state and by who came in first.
