It is a monummet that was build around 4000 to 5000 years ago, it is belive that it was build for religious reasons. The height of the stones are from 9 meters to 5.

I know that Stoneheng is an ancient monument but there is not information about the reason of the built.Carlos da Silveira.

1- There is no clear explanation of how it was built. Building it take huge effort from hundreds of well-organised people using only simple tools and technologies
2- They went to Stonhenge to look at the solstice. People went there to look at the solstice.
4- They line up the stones and its giant pillars. That they use not just to mark the summer and winter solstice, but to predict eclipses of the moon and sun.

To build the monument they used many stoneworking methods. They made holes in the ground to rise the stones. They also give shape to the stones to make them fit.

-The Stone Circle at Stonehenge has been standing since around 2500BC
-The purpose of Stonehenge is unknown to us. It has no obvious practical purpose. It was not lived in and could not have been defended so there must have been a spiritual reason why Neolithic and Bronze Age people put so much effort into building it.
