While there, we decided to take a helicopter tour to see an overhead view of the Amazon river and forest. When arriving to the helipad and paying for a two hour tour, we had nothing but the clothes we were wearing and her purse. As we lifted off the ground we felt nothing but excitement and curiosity. It was only an hour in the tour when rain began to pour down all around us and lightening was striking every couple minutes. The pilot, overwhelmed and shocked by the sudden change in weather, told us to remain calm. Only seconds after his reassurance that all would be fine, the helicopter was struck with a blinding flash and a roaring bang. We went swirling down and planted into the hard ground. The pilot and helicopter were unrecoverable we soon knew. They found some sharp rocks and tied them onto sticks with vines from the trees nearby. These tools were used to go spear fishing. After they caught a few, they brought them back to the shelter. Kyle tended to the fire while Cecelia did her best to skin the fish. They searched the helicopter from top to bottom for building supplies, but all they came up with was one half full bottle of water, a lighter, a blanket, and some trail mix. That wouldn't help with shelter, so they grabbed what they could and began their journey. Cecelia limped out of the helicopter with the help of Kyle, and began searching. It wasn't long before they came across a group of trees where they could set up camp. Cecelia was starting to feel better so she walked a little ways east to find water. She made sure she was watching her steps so she would know exactly how to get back. Something very serious to look out for while stranded was to not get more lost then you already are. While she was on the search for water, Kyle started a fire by whittling sticks together. They landed in the middle of nowhere and had to figure out where they were. Kyle sat pondering, then suddenly jumped up and ran to the front of the helicopter. In the control room, there was  a blinking screen, displaying their current coordinates, they were in the middle of the Amazon Rainforest. Luckily, Cecelia was skilled in the art of sewing, so making clothes would be a breeze, at least she thought. they collected any materials fit for clothing they could and Cecelia went to work. The finished product may not have been the most comfortable, but it protected them from the harsh elements. They was very competitive, so they made up a few contests. These included: who can start a fire the fastest, who can find the biggest stick, and who could catch the best fish. Kyle, wasting no time, found a first aid kit inside the helicopter. First, to prep the wound, he cleaned it with rubbing alcohol.
