In my opinion, the price offered at hawker stall is one of the reason why the tourist loved their foods. The food served at hawker stall are cheaper and my not look appetising but the taste of it will bring you heaven in your mouth. despite of being offered at a low price, the authentic taste and qualities of the food are maintained

• I am strongly agree of the points given by candidate A. I do think that the reasonable and affordable price of foods will help in patronizing the stall business in Malaysia. However, In my opinion, I think that one of the major factor that attracts tourists in supporting hawkers food stalls is the conveniency and having easy food acess. This is because of the abundance of food stalls in every corner of Malaysia which provide various types of foods, including traditional to western foods.

First of all, the location would be one of the factors that are important in order to attract tourists. Most of hawker food stalls can be found inside the mall. It is a really strategic place because being in the big mall, everyone is going to be tired just by walking around and they would be wandering around looking for food at the end of the day.

I see your point, but i tend to think that location is not the most important factor because it is a bit difficult to find a table to sit and eat peacefully, as the place is a targetted place for people who love cheap and reasonable price of food. Hence it might be crowded. However, i would say that price is the most important factor, as the cheap prices allow them to experience local cuisine without breaking the bank. Next it is also important so tourist can try variety kind of food with pocket friendly budget.

From my point of view,i agree that the hygiene of hawker food stalls attract tourists. It is well seen that the food stalls are mostly small and compact. Therefore,the hawkers can easily access to all parts of their food stalls and able to clean all part of it in a short period of time. From the article that i read,some hawkers even clean their food stalls everytime they finish an order. Lets take an example,when a burger hawkers done making a burger,they will directly clean the area they used to make another burger. So,it causing their food stalls look clean and able to attract tourists.

I understand your point, but there is no guarantee that hawkers take hygiene seriously due to the lack of inspections from local health departments. Thus, the hawker would not really care about the cleanliness as long as they get the profit. For example, the hawker rarely want to wash their hand or even the utensils that they use. I had an experience where I was admitted to the hospital for food poisoning. I will certainly choose a stall that is clean next time.

I agree with you. Nowadays, there are a lot of food stall all around us. In my opinion, local health departments cannot monitor the level of cleanliness of every stall in Malaysia. The result of this issues is a lot of seller do not care about the cleanliness of their own stall and just sell their food even though their food have been polluted. The variety of food that is sold by hawker food stalls is certainly something attractive to food lover and not only do they have alot of food they also sells it with a price cheaper than most expensive restaurants. When we talk about price, tourists will most likely travel to the country where the price is cheap and affordable. From what I can see from the social media platform, I found that many tourists prefer to travel in south east Asia countries since a lot of the price for the food is cheap and affordable. For example, many tourists travel to the country such as Indonesia, Thailand and Vietnam. To conclude our discussion, three of us agree that location  is the main factor that attracts tourists to patronize hawker food stalls while the other three of us believe that hygiene is the main factor. We choose hygiene because it’s strongly related with the quality of the food that the stalls serves. Hygiene is also important to prevent food contamination as well as to reduce the rate of food poisoning diseases. While for the location,hawker stalls that located at strategic places such as car wash and self service laundry to ease the tourists to get their food while waiting for the laundry done.

The reason being is, tourists from foreign countries that has higher and lower currencies are attracted to the affordable local price of the food in our country. For example, the price of a nasi lemak in our country is cheaper than the ones sold in the foreign countries. If we were to convert the dollar bill to Malaysian ringgit, the foreigners who buy nasi lemak locally will save more than what they would pay for in their country. The diversity that exists in Malaysian is what makes it unique. Most foreign tourists visit Malaysia for food hunting , being a vital part of their trip . Having that in mind , they would have prepared a sufficient amount of budget to spend in Malaysia knowing that no matter how much it cost them, it's worth the pay. This is because the tourists can access the place by visiting a website and get an honest review from the other customers.Thus, the tourist can rethink the location or go to the other location that has the same speciality. Furthermore, most of the food stalls are located at the center of the city. So, the tourists go to the location by using public transportation to save their time to avoid the crowded tourists that can cause the traffic jam. Hence by using the lrt, it can help tourists to easily access the location to find the food stalls while also giving them an opportunity to compare the prices of the dish and consider the best stall or restaurant they want to go to. 

Besides that, since Malaysia has a variety of cuisines it is very preferable to visit the location where the dish originates from because of the authenticity of the taste.
