These dolls are painted from photos of dolls that still lie there in Chernobyl, dolls still have radiation on them.
My city Kyiv and nearby cities were cleared of radiation even before the collapse of the USSR.
The painting is included in a series of Pathos of Bureaucracy.
They say that the Chernobyl tragedy affected the collapse of the USSR. The distinction of ‘Life Goes On Within You And Without You’ is that the artist has introduced an element of time into the portraits themselves.

The flow of thick vivid paint that runs through each portrait is a metaphor for time. It’s a technique that takes several weeks to complete. Vibrant colours are poured onto the canvas and left until a dry outer layer forms, onto which an entire portrait is painted. I found using the material of wall filler harder than anticipated my first attempt the substance just bolded and I couldn't create the correct consistency or texture that I wanted. On one of the artists music videos she creates the illusion she is crying black tears and then run down her face.
In connection to my mixed acrylic piece I used a collection of paints and then created a blended dripping effect, I want to use a collection of colors to recreate the tears over the tonal drawing and see what effect what gives

I decided I wanted to create something that is within the abstract world of Perry's artwork and keep a theme he presented on his tapestry running in my artwork. And with my current experimental theme of society today and social issues I picked a piece that displays a common debate of society and that is cannabis also pictured in Perry's artwork.

I was watching a new art program called "Art club with Grayson" and I came across his guest on the show the well known artist Maggi Hambling.

I find canvas is easier to build layers and textures on as it is a stronger material.
