I wonder if students would be more likely to participate in physical activity outside of school if they could incorporate technology.
I learned...
Incorporating technology does take away from the "playing" and "moving" aspect of physical education. It does help students apply and demonstrate student knowledge of movement concepts. Example: My students created a football drill video to breakdown

I wonder if students had personal fitness trackers if they would be more motivated to move.
I learned...
Students love games and tangible evidence. A fitness tracker allows the students to compete in steps and activities.

This project is a great end of the year project because it takes quite a bit of time to implement.

I wonder if students created their own games and taught them to one another through introduction videos they would be more engaged in the lesson.
I learned...
Students enjoy owning and being responsible for their own learning. When students buy in to what they are learning it is more likely to become permanent lifestyle or knowledge rather than temporary.

I wonder if we had skype conversations with athletes or fitness trainers if the students would understand the importance of physical activity.
I learned...
I have not tried the skype communications but I have done an online project where the students had to research work outs. The students buy in more when they look it up and learn the information from someone new or a professional they respect.

I wonder how I can make physical education more project based learning but not take out the physical fitness elements.
I learned...
Using platforms such as Haiku to support learning helps shorten in class learning and increase "active learning". Example: Posting rules, powerpoints, videos, and forms for assessments online then reviewing this information in class instead of teaching.
