This can be seen in fig. 2.1 with how few children of the travelling community finish 2nd level education and the basically no people of the travelling community completing 3rd level education. Furthermore the roughly 70% of travellers living in overcrowded housing or caravans is further evidence of my hypothisis. Key thinker Kathleen Lynch would agree based on her 45 page document which she wrote on the rights of Irish travellers. She states "While equalizing access and participation are key equality objectives, we need a more holistic and integrated approach to the achievement of equality in education". I believe that this outlines her belief that our education must be more inclusive to ethnic groups such as travellers. Key thinker Robert Nozick would disagree because of his belief that "social and economic inequalities are to be arranged so that they are to be of greatest benefit to the least-advantaged members of society." It can be argued that these "least-advantaged members of society" can be considered ethnic groups such as travellers. He would say that people born into the travelling community have simpily lost the theretical biological lotterey and they should work harder if they wish to have a better education. Personally I agree with Katheleen lynch as everyone should have an equal oppertunity in our society. This causes the education system to favour the common culture of the general population. Thus, people of the Travelling community feel out of place in schools as they're built around the majority and they can't relate to their teachers or fellow students. Document B states that there are more barriers for travellers for attempting to get 
employment and predujuce and discrimination is possibly evident. Key thinker Kathleen 
Lynch believes that Ireland is a careless state, one that has not done enough to enforce 
equality legislation. This is seen directly through the large unemployment rates and poor 
living conditions in the travelling community. Systematic inequality should be combated 
against and the government should try their best to enforce equality in every aspect of life.
