I originally was going to make a flat plate, but I decided to make it more original and unique looking by adding the 3D spikes. The process of under glaze was very long and tedious. I had never worked with under glaze before and all of a sudden had to do my whole project in under glaze. The base and word "pow!" took many layers to make them dark enough and not streaky. The dots were very difficult and time consuming because I had to decide which color was going to go where and how evenly to space the dots. After I finished the dots, the under glaze began to crack. We hoped it was just the under glaze but my project unfortunately cracked into three pieces. We tried re-glazing it, tried mender, tried glaze fusing, and tried gluing it (which worked).
