From "Hairs" (Page 6), I just found out one meaningful sentences which is, " sweet to put your nose into when she is holding you, holding you and you feel safe, is the warm smell of bread before you bake it, is the smell when she makes room for you on her side of the bed still warm with her skin, and you sleep near her". The way how author explain her mother looks like is quite the same as my mom. The only person that makes me safe when I'm around her. I can just talk and sit next to her whenever I feel bad. I'm curious about how's the author's life at the end of the story.

I think this is misunderstandings and stereotypes.😁but, in Chinese tradition people seems will think women should always take care of family🧐

I have a lot of siblings that are younger than me, so when they were a little babies I am as a oldest daughter helped to my mom to take care of little babies. So, sometimes when I wanted to go with my friends even just to walk, my young siblings were asking to take them with me which is was fun for them but boring to me. She is the one who told us how Davey and Baby's sister got pregnant and what cream is best for taking off moustache hair and if you count the white flecks on your fingernails you can know how many boys are thinking of you and lots of other things I can't remember now"

For this quote is very interesting because I thing a lot of people can reflect their own life episode with human like Marin. For example me I knew 1 boy I am not remember his name, but he shows me always different things as Marin.

My question is, Does that book will whole about Esperanza's childhood or then we will read about her adults? This quote is important because it shows people how She has taken a positive word, hope, and given it three negative descriptions on he name in different language. Esperanza hates her name. Meaning "hope" in Spanish, her name carries a lot of connotations. I think it's special because it makes me think about what my own name means in my language.

My question is: how does she feel about her name in a different language?

One example that I chose is From "Boys and girls " ( page,8) An interesting phrase I found was “Boys and girls live in separate worlds. Boys at their college and we at ours.” To me, this example is interesting because it shows a separation, like the separation of gender. I find what this example shows funny because when I was a child, my friends at school would never talk to boys because we said boys couldn’t talk to us and all the girls couldn’t talk to or play with them because we said they were violent, which was funny because we made it into a game. This example probably brings back a lot of childhood memories.

My question is: did they feel comfortable and happy feeling that each gender is separate, or that each group lived their life differently?

The line "I am a barrio girl" from "The House on Mango Street" (page 4) impacts me as in particular well-written. This quotation is important because it illustrates the feeling of feeling part of something. The word "barrio" describes a neighborhood that is often connected to urban Latinx communities. Esperanza Cordero, the main character, accepts herself and the cultural environment that effects her experiences by calling herself as a “barrio girl." Anyone who is unhappy with their identity in relation to their environment has great meaning in this statement. It attracts up the ways in which our environment forms our objectives and belief in self.

It's special because it highlights the comfort and security of home, where even the most mundane sounds and smells can be soothing. This quote connects to my own life, as I have fond memories of my mother's cooking and the cozy atmosphere of our home on rainy days. I'm curious about how the story will explore the themes of family, love, and belonging, and how the protagonist's experiences will shape their identity.(evers🐮)
