We used the random generator to choose the gender and used the generator to choose what utensil thy will be using. We had the boys use one witting utensil and the girls use another writing utensil to write with on their prompt.

Matched pair design
We matched up the people by what kind of writing utensil they prefer. Then we randomly picked one to receive the utensil they prefer and the other one to not receive that one but instead write with another utensil. This will better help us compare results at the end when we are done

Crossover design
For the crossover design we will have the students start with the mechanical pencil.
