Something that really interested me was the comparison of the outcomes of regulated A.I. control versus the outcomes of open-sourced A.I. for everyone. It's curious to think about how neither side is listening to the possible bad outcomes of their paths.

Are our Jobs being threatened?

A.I. is already replacing people's jobs in art, advertising, customer service, etc. I am personally very alarmed by the thought of A.I. advancing in the workforce.

Tristan says we must collectively agree that our current path is insane, and that we must commit to a new plan with different incentives that are more discerning with foresight and where power is matched with responsibility.

Benefits of A.I.

Tristian mentioned that A.I. has plenty of benefits, ranging from innovations in medicine, antibiotics, materials, etc. From the thoughts I've gathered, I believe he's implying that the best outcome involves slight regulation and emphasis on new developments in our current technologies.

Dystopia

I can't imagine the stress I'd feel knowing A.I. was heavily regulated to only certain high-power, wealthy companies. I think this is the worst outcome, and the thought of it IS a real dystopia.

Finding a middle ground

The outcomes of both paths we face are chaos versus dystopia. I believe too much regulation on anything is bad, whereas I also believe having too much access to things on the internet and overconsumption are equally as bad an issue our society faces today.

Overaccess to A.I. can also be a problem. Problems such as deepfakes, hacking abilities, misinformation and more.
