One thing the Yenisey River does that benefits Russia is the use of hydroelectric power.
Another benefit is the abundance of fish in the water that helps with fishing.
Some of the downsides are use of a toxic substance they were mining called plutonium next to the river.
Another downside is an oil spill that occurred in 2009 as well as one in July of this year. A vessel was on the river when it crashed and 80 metric tons of oil spilled into the water.
Recent tests have shown that there are traces of radioactive material found in plants.
