The western slopes are more humid and receive greater precipitation, while the Eastern slopes are exposed to more frigid dry air.</p><p>*One fun fact with the Ural Mountains is that they aren't very tall because they have been worn down by years of erosion. </p><p>*Another fun fact is that the Ural Mountains is that they are among the oldest mountain ranges on Earth.</p>]]></description>

Russia also uses this sea for their transportation and their trade routes.</p><p>• The Caspian Sea has a military platform for defense and a power source on the water. Also, it is a major fishing resource.</p><p>• The shrinking water levels are disrupting the ports for trading. Oil spills and pollution occur often with the Caspian Sea.</p><p>• Next to the Black Sea, Caspian Depression, and the Caucasus Mountains is about where the Caspian sea is located.</p>]]></description>

         <title>Yenisei/Yenisey River</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<ul><li><p>One thing the Yenisey River does that benefits Russia is the use of hydroelectric power.</p></li><li><p>Another benefit is the abundance of fish in the water that helps with fishing.</p></li><li><p>Some of the downsides are use of a toxic substance they were mining called plutonium next to the river.</p></li><li><p>Another downside is an oil spill that  occurred in 2009 as well as one in July of this year. A vessel was on the river when it crashed and 80 metric tons of oil spilled into the water.</p></li><li><p>Recent tests have shown that there are traces of radioactive material found in plants.</p><p><br/></p></li></ul>]]></description>
