         <description><![CDATA[<div>A twisted pair cable is a type of cable made by putting two separate insulated wires together in a twisted pattern and running them parallel to each other.<br><br></div><div>These cables ensure less<strong> </strong>crosstalk and a higher quality of signal over longer distances. Therefore these cables are popularly used for high-speed computer communication.<br><br></div><div>Two different types of twisted pair cable: unshielded twisted pair (UTP) and shielded twisted pair (STP).<br><br></div><div>UTP is common in Ethernet installations, while STP is used in various kinds of networks to prevent crosstalk and electromagnetic interference.<br><br></div><div>Twisted pair has a more accommodating bend radius, is easier to terminate, and provides more versatility in selecting network topologies.<br><br></div><div>&nbsp;<br><br></div><div>Advantages:</div><ul><li>It’s relatively easy to implement and terminate.</li><li>It is the smallest amount expensive media of transmission for brief distances.</li><li>If portion of a twisted pair cable is broken it doesn’t effect the whole network.</li><li>Less vulnerable to electrical interference caused by nearby equipment or wires.</li></ul><div>&nbsp;</div><div>Disadvantages:</div><ul><li>It provides poor security and is relatively easy to tap.</li><li>As they a thin so can be easily breakable.</li><li>Low durability (must be maintained regularly).</li><li>Susceptible to electromagnetic interference (EMI).</li></ul>]]></description>

Signals traveling through adjacent pairs of wire create magnetic fields that interact with each other, inducing interference in the neighboring pair.
