To reforce my opinion, acording to RTP, Portugal is turning in a very multicultural nation over the year; and that is very good, I supose, but with more different people among us, some think that's wrong and, because of that, sometimes there is jokes and descrimination just for being diferent.
 The Welsh school St Mary’s School had a great idea for the project about introducing other cultures in the Society and I think that needs to be introduced in Portugal too, to end with the discriminations, etcetera.

In my opinion, yes, Portugal is a multicultural country, because the existence of several migrants in our country is many, and has been increasing, also because of the arrival of refugees from several countries at war.
In Portugal, more and more people from other countries (mainly from Brazil, Eastern Europe and India, China and Morocco) are living here, for reasons of better living and working conditions, among others.
Every day we see new areas of trade being opened by people who are not Portuguese. Eastern restaurants are one of the most popular jobs in Portugal run mainly by the Indians, Japanese and Chinese and the bazaars, better known by the nationality of their main owners, the "Chineses".

Some of the pros of living in a multicultural country are to be able to experience various moments when we do things from other cultures, which before we could not do and have the opportunity to meet other people with different customs from the Portuguese.
However, there are some cons, which in my opinion are more conflicts between various communities and religions, which by many are grasped with great conviction. There is also, especially for young people and children, a greater possibility of bullying and in adults the existence of racism.
Even so, it is possible to get around all these problems, and therefore it is good to live in a multicultural country like Portugal!

For one reason it’s good to communicate and learn more about other cultures, but in the other side they sometimes feel left out, because the community differentiates them. 
And it’s because of this that we have to help and accept them!

Is Portugal a multicultural country?

Portugal has been a multicultural country since the time of the discoveries when our sailors, established contact with other cultures and also expanded the portuguese culture
 With the arrival of migrants from all over the world, from neighboring countries in Africa (like Cape Verde and Guinea-Bissau) and from Europe (like Ukraine and Romania), and from countries as far away as Brazil and China, Portugal has become a country more multicultural, where there are different cultures, traditions, languages, beliefs, religions and customs.

In your opinion, what are the pros and cons of living in a multicultural country?

PROS: Immigrants brings diverse knowledge and experience. They open ethnic restaurants and stores that attract tourists. We can have friends from different nations and learn their language, traditions, cultures, and religions.
 
CONS: Different religious beliefs can generate conflicts. Language can be a barrier. People are afraid to lose their identity. May cause racism and buling between cultures. 
Social problems due to unemployment.

I think that Portugal is a multicultural country because there are many influences from other countries. The emigrants who come to our country from Brazil, China, France, Angola and others, bring their culture, gastronomy, habits and this is visible in our daily lives through food, shops...

In your opinion, what are the pros and cons of living in a multicultural country? If possible add some photos!

In my opinion it is good for Portugal to be a multicultural country because we know habits, customs and new languages from other countries without leaving our country. We can travel and we don't even need a passport. We enrich our culture, we adapt, we are open-minded, we can exchange experiences, learn, respect and be more tolerant.

On the other hand, we have discrimination because not all communities are well accepted, we must respect them and be respected because when moving to our country they have to be governed by our laws and get used to our customs, otherwise there can be social and racial conflicts.

  In my opinion, it is good to live in a multicultural country, because we can learn different ways of life, try new foods, basically it allows us to experience a little of the whole world, knowing its culture.

 In an other point of view, some people cannot integrate into the population, or local people cannot find work due to the positions held by immigrants the same happens with local people that can't find a home.
Sometimes can happen racial conflicts.

One of the advantages of having people from different cultures in one country is that we can live / learn various things from different countries without having known the country itself. And one of the cons is that there are people who don't like / accept that people from other cultures are in “their” country.

Yes, I think Portugal is a multicultural country. Portugal is a country with a lot of traditions, some of them international, and others that were adopted from other countries, and that today are very celebrated (such as Halloween). Our country accept all people with open arms, and all the cultures. And there are several types of store, restaurant, or cafe, which spread traditions and cultures from other countries to Portugal (for example when we eat at the Chinese restaurant, we are sampling some of the traditional foods that exist in China).
What are the pros and cons of living in a multicultural country?
From a point of view, I think it is good to live in a multicultural country as I can learn and understand lots of cultures and traditions from different countries!

On the other hand, the majority of the population is accustomed to the customs of Portugal and sometimes discriminates against some cultures and customs of other countries.
