1.  you will laugh harder 
2.  you will be tired sometimes
3.  you will be sad when they don't kiss you good-bye anymore in 2nd grade at school
4.  you will be so incredibly proud of silly things and pretty amazing things that your little human will do 
5.  you will find dirt and weird stuff in very weird places
6.  you get to share the world with humans who really think you are cool (even when they don't think you are cool)
7.  saying "no" to this person is so very hard sometimes
8.  allowing them to fail and learn is so very very hard sometimes
9.  when the world is cruel, always have the love that they need
10.  words matter.  stages of development don't last forever.

11. Becoming a grandparent is truly even better than becoming a parent -- you get to see the human you love experience the joys you did!
