When he first enters the car, one of the first things that he's asked is if he's Yemenite or Moroccan. This doesn't mean anything bad, but it does show the culture about origins in Israel. It is something that is highly regarded in Israeli culture. Later, the person who seems to be Noa's manager or agent asks, "there's another one like you?" when Amos told him he was on the phone with his brother and then goes on to say he would sue Amos' whole family tree including "the ones who are still in tin shacks in Yemen" if he were to leak that he was with Noa. This is using Amos' Yemenite and Mizrachi background as a means to threaten and degrade him. This shows the major cultural divides between the two and also shows the inequality in Israel. A clear example that shows this was in the first episode when Noa and Amos were entering the club. The bouncer helped Noa get through the crowd and allowed her through while holding the paparazzi and fans back, and subsequently held Amos back and didn't allow him to enter with Noa even though he had been with her. Noa then needed to go back and get him. Even though he was with her, the bouncer assumed he should be grouped in with the crowd and not allowed access to Noa.

The show accentuates this by having him wear a more casual outfit while everyone else around his is dressed up. This highlights the major differences between him and the guests at the club, including Noa and her friends. This is shown throughout the series but especially in the 2nd episode where you can see the whole family talking about Amos and Vanessa and giving Amos advice.
