         <description><![CDATA[<p>1) They had pictures everywhere of religious people and the different things they worship. People would get paid to paint religious paintings and people would hang them in their homes or workplaces.</p><p>2) Rich decorations on the inside of the dome were meant to remind the worshippers of what it was like to enter God's kingdom.</p><p>3) Most Byzantines believed the pictures around the church brought them closer to God, so they had a lot of sacred pictures around.</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>1) One of the Greek influences was that people spoke Greek. They learned Greek and that was their official language. When they learned Greek, they knew they could talk to more people around when they traded. This helped them learn more about the Greeks.</p><p>2) One other influence was spitting up the church. Many people had different beliefs and struggled to keep them in one church. Splitting  up the churches let other people understand other people's belief systems and it grew people closer.</p>]]></description>
