         <description><![CDATA[<div>Japanese-born Australian artist Hiromi Tango’s first commercial exhibition, “Promised,” which was held at Sydney’s Sullivan+Strumpf gallery in 2014.          <description><![CDATA[<div>Sydney-based Indigenous artist Jonathan Jones was thrust into the spotlight in 2014 when he was announced the winner of the Kaldor Public Art Projects’ 45th anniversary project, YOUR VERY GOOD IDEA. Jones is best known exploring indigenous traditions, relationships, and ideas through site-specific installations and interventions that feature fluorescent tubes and incandescent bulbs.          <description><![CDATA[<div>Aboriginal glass artist Yhonnie Scarce’s 19th Biennale of Sydney (2014) installation entitled “Weak In Colour But Strong In Blood (2013–14),” the work continued her ongoing exploration of the effects of colonisation on Australia’s First People through masterfully crafted glasswork. In 2015 Scarce’s work will be shown at Art Basel Hong Kong by Dianne Tanzer Gallery + Projects, marking the first time an Australian indigenous contemporary glass/installation artist has exhibited at an international art fair.<br><a href="http://au.blouinartinfo.com/news/story/1071428/12-australian-artists-to-watch-in-2015">http://au.blouinartinfo.com/news/story/1071428/12-australian-artists-to-watch-in-2015</a></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>“Blood on the Wattle,” 2013<br></strong>Woomera-born Australian Indigenous artist,  “Blood on the Wattle,” 2013 was exhibited as part of the 55th Venice Biennale satellite exhibition “Personal Structures: Time, Space, Existence.” Consisting of a Perspex coffin encasing 225 glass bush bananas, “Blood on the Wattle” (2013) was presented as one mass grave, each banana commemorating a year of Australia’s colonization and the genocide of Indigenous peoples.</div>]]></description>
