         <description><![CDATA[<div>Civil law the law of continental Europe was adopted with strong roots from Rome. In fact the term civil law was first used in the&nbsp;<a href="https://www.britannica.com/topic/jus-civile"><em>jus civile</em></a><em> </em>which was the domestic law in Rome and only applied to citizens. Rome had a different set of laws for foreigners called<em> </em><a href="https://www.britannica.com/topic/jus-gentium-Roman-law"><em>jus gentium</em></a><em> </em>or 'Law of nations." This is reflected in our law too since the US has different rights and rules/laws that apply to US citizens.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Augustus Caesar was the first emperor of Rome, he managed to become emperor after his adopted father Julius Caesar named him as his heir in his will after bring murdered. Augustus had to fight with the senators who murdered Julius Caesar and later his former ally Marc Antony. Augustus helped to reform Rome and revitalize it, He was also responsible for the pax romana which allowed trade to prosper.</div>]]></description>
