The Nile river used to have nice rich soil that would fertilize the  farmland but they built a Aswan high dam and that stopped the soil from getting in the river so they used soil that had chemicals in it and that then fertilized the river fertilized the river. by using chemicals in the soil this has caused pollution. The Egyptians have not yet done anything to stop the Nile river pollution but it is said to say that they people of Egypt will soon start.
