         <description><![CDATA[<div>7th Grade General Music</div><ul><li>Hillary's 7th grade general music students analyzed the country music genre by collaborating on a Google Sheet.  </li><li>They then took notes on a Google Doc skeleton as a class.  This notetaking was interactive and required students to research many of the answers on their own.</li><li>Students will complete a collaborative listening log for the rock and roll music genre via Google Sheet tomorrow.</li></ul>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>8th Grade General Music</div><ul><li>Hillary's 8th grade general music students started a project on world music today.</li><li>Hillary gave them a tour of <a href="http://online.culturegrams.com/">CultureGrams</a> and how to use the database for their research.</li><li>Students chose the country they'll research and started citing their sources today.</li><li>Students are responsible for turning their research into a product (video, skit, etc.) after completing their research.</li></ul>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>8th Grade General Music</div><ul><li>Hillary's 8th grade general music students were working on their world music projects today.</li><li>Students could use a variety of tools to create a product showing what they learned while researching world music.</li><li>Example: One student researched Zimbabwe using CultureGrams and is creating a WeVideo to show what she learned.</li><li>Students choose the format of their presentations (WeVideo, Voicethread, SimpleShow, Powtoon, etc.).</li><li>Students typed their research into a Google Sheet rubric which was then checked by Hillary and her co-teacher Stephanie half-way through the project.  Students were then given feedback via single-point rubric.</li></ul>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>6th Grade General Music<br>Hillary's students toured a museum of Irish music.</div><ul><li>Hillary set up a Google Slide presentation that linked between instruments, music, dancing, and important facts.</li><li>Students voted on which country's museum to 'visit' during class and took notes on their own Google Docs during their exploration of the museum.</li></ul>]]></description>
