It is the first time that the students will combine all of the 5 strands within one "independent" inquiry.

There are a few of the sub-strands from the image above that stand out to me as being very essential.

Self-Management: Organisation and time management.

Research: Collecting and recording data, presenting findings.

Communication: Presenting, speaking, listening, reading and writing.

Social: Accepting responsibility, cooperating.

The Exhibition is no exception.

My view is that with small action the students can make contributions locally within their own communities. The LP attributes are essential for a successful Exhibition. By the 5th Grade my students are very aware of this terminology and what each attribute is all about.

Attributes that stand out to me are:

Reflective - essential for the students to reflect throughout the process.

Open-minded - to be willing to allow their inquiry to follow a direction that they didn't plan on going.
