Part 1 Rainsford skydives onto the island

Rainsford a well known skydiver he was flying over a ocean as he was going to skydive onto what everyone thought was a deserted island "be careful." whitney had said to rainsford with concern in her voice "nonsense i'll be okay this isn't my first time." he said in a joking matter before he jumped out of the plane with his parachute on his back and his walkie talkie in his satchel he felt that same thrill that he felt the first time he ever went skydiving he should have known not to skydive at night but he wanted a challenge as he rapidly approached the island instead of a small island it was rather large and had a large thick jungle with rocky shores that stood 20 feet in the air off to the right he heard it, and his ears, expert in such matters, could not be mistaken. Again he heard the sound, and again. Somewhere, off in the blackness, someone had fired a gun three times(Pg.2) Rainsford started panicking as he pulled his parachute to late getting it stuck in a tree as Rainsford began to black out...

Part 2 rainsford wakes up inside the mansion

as Rainsford woke up he was in a soft bed he thought that it had all been a nightmare but he soon realised that he was not in his own bed as the room was much much nicer and larger than his own he got out of the bed as he was in pajamas as he looked to his left he saw his now clean skydiving outfit and satchel on a nearby dresser with a large mirror he then walked over to the window on the right he must have been on a 4th floor of a mansion "oh my goodness!" Rainsford said in shock as he then heard the sound of boots approaching the door of the room he was in

Part 3 Zaroff hunts rainsford

Rainsford heard the rattle of keys as he kept his cool the sound of a padlock unlocking made Rainsford realize that he had been locked in that room it was unnerving and suspenseful the door then opened showing a tall and slim figure "greetings my name is Zaroff" Zaroff said in a russian accent "welcome to my mansion i brought you here so we could play a game of cat and mouse get your clothes and take what you need from this room and we will play come night" zaroff turned and walked away with a smug grin that made Rainsford's skin crawl. Rainsford quickly gathered a dagger and put on his skydiving outfit satchel and 3 days worth of food as he quickly left the mansion Rainsford ran as far as he could as night started to close in like a predator with its prey Rainsford found a hollow log as he hid inside of it he then heard the sound of multiple feet he peered out and saw Zaroff holding a leash with multiple hounds

Part 4 Zaroff pursues Rainsford

Rainsford waits for Zaroff to walk away. as Rainsford makes a run for it hearing Rainsford Zaroff pursuses Rainsford closely as Rainsford trying to climbed high up into a tree but a hound grabbed hold to his leg as Rainsford winced in pain he acted quickly stabbing the hound in the head with the dagger as he climbed up into the tree Zaroff gave a wicked smile "you may have come out as the victor this night but the next i will have your head" zaroff walks away with the hounds as Rainsford exhausted from the hot pursuit falls asleep in the tree

Part 5 Rainsford leaves the island

Rainsford wakes up at noon as he climbed down he then remembered about his Walkie Talkie he had in his Satchel he opens his satchel relieved that his Walkie Talkie is still there he turns it on as it is almost dead he then talks into it " whitney are you there?" whitney responded back quickly "Rainsford! where are you i'm at the island your not here" she said in a panicked voice "i guess we misdirected im on and isolated jungle island being chased by a lunatic that is trying to kill me" replied Rainsford "dont worry i know where you are i'm on my way get to the west side of the island i will be waiting for you" Rainsford took this time to runto the west side of the island as whitney picked him up in the plane as they flew off as rainsford said "im still a beast at bay"(Pg.15) "we need to tell the police back at new york so they can investigate this madness"
