We should teach cursive because writing in cursive has some benefits to us. The benefits are helpful in ways like helping us in the future. One way cursive helps us is how in paragraph 5 it states that "using cursive writing helps develop the small muscles of the hand. This is helpful because like exercising (to me) is healthy and gives you (probably a longer life) it goes the same for the hands. Another way cursive helps us is because "older students with poor handwriting often get lower grades on test". This shows if you learn cursive and you also want the full credit for your work you will have a higher chance to do well on test and homework that also leds to a better future. One reason that makes me think we don't need cursive is that we have electronics. Electronics are not for babies or 3 year olds, but they make our writing neat and without spelling mistakes because electronics can detect a mistake. Also it would be hard to start all over cursive writing again because some people in a grade higher than 3rd grade already have their writing and it will be hard to change their writing. This is why I think that cursive doesn't need to be thaught again.
