I would be as willing as Nick was if I had to do that because I would realize that with the bombing in London, it would definitely be safer to go to visit my father in Burma, where the Japanese have not attacked yet. Also, I would like to be able to learn more about the elephants and their training.

Some of these bombs hit Nick's apartment, which was destroyed. Due to this danger, Nick's mom sent him to  Burma to live on his father's teak plantation. Yes, I would be willing to go to Burma.
