Plastic substrates are made from a variety of petroleum-based resins such as polypropylene. The term “plastics” includes materials composed of various elements such as carbon, hydrogen, oxygen, nitrogen, chlorine, and sulfur. Plastic cups are synthetic because it had to go through a chemical change. Through a process known as injection molding, the PET is mixed as a liquid, injected into cup-shaped molds and then cooled and solidified. It is most commonly used as a container to hold beverages.

materials or substances such as minerals, forests, water, and fertile land that occur in nature and can be used for economic gain. Something made of artificial material, not natural items, can be described as synthetic. The difference between natural and synthetic material is that natural materials are those that can be found in nature while synthetic materials are those that are chemically produced in a lab.

Studies have found that repeated re-use of plastic food and drink containers — which get dinged up through normal wear and tear and while being cleaned or re-heated — increases the chance that chemicals will leak out of the tiny cracks and crevices that develop over time.Since most cups cannot be recycled, they remain in our landfills and pollute the environment, both on land and in the sea. Plastic cups can be used to drink out of when you have no clean cups. The low replacement rate compared to glass absolutely saves money over time. You should use my material instead of natural resources because you can recycle my material. The two biggest pollution problems are in the air and water.
