Each of the seven learning areas had a curriculum in the form of a book of various colours. The technology curriculum was brown in colour and quickly and affectionately became known as the 'chocky docky'.

With many teacher PLD courses giving out chocolate when first introducing and explaining the curriculum and its technology content.

This was the only learning area to be altered. This revision was only published online, and support material was developed.
