         <description><![CDATA[<p><strong>In 1995 the </strong><a rel="noreferrer noopener" class="inline_disabled external" href="https://nzcurriculum.tki.org.nz/content/download/169334/1249656/file/Technology%20In%20The%20New%20Zealand%20Curriculum%201995.pdf"><strong>first Technology Curriculum</strong></a><strong> was launched.</strong></p><p>Each of the seven learning areas had a curriculum in the form of a book of various colours. The technology curriculum was brown in colour and quickly and affectionately became known as the 'chocky docky'. </p><p>With many teacher PLD courses giving out chocolate when first introducing and explaining the curriculum and its technology content. </p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>In <a rel="noreferrer noopener" class="inline_disabled external" href="https://nzcurriculum.tki.org.nz/content/download/1108/11989/file/NZ%20Curriculum%20Web.pdf">2007 the 'new' technology curriculum.</a> was launched. &nbsp;(an entire booklet of all learning areas/subjects) is online but if you would like to have the printed version you can get it free from '<a rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" class="inline_disabled external" href="https://www.thechair.co.nz/login/moe-thechair">Down the Back of the Chair.</a>' (this is the MoE site where you can get printed versions of many teaching resources).&nbsp;</p>]]></description>

This was the only learning area to be altered. This revision was only published online, and support material was developed.&nbsp;</p>]]></description>
