In the book Leven Thumps, written by Obert Skye, Leven wanted to be a normal kid and have a family that took care of him and actually wanted him. However, Leven found out he was a offing, a magical person from Foo, who had more than one power. Consequently, Leven goes on a journey with Winter, a nit, which means she has one power: to freeze things to ice, Geth, the prince of Foo, and Clover, Leven's sycophant. The group faces many trials and tribulations, but continues to peruse their quest, to save the world and Foo. Conclusively, Leven and his group travel to the gateway to Foo, destroy the gateway, face of the evil king Sabine, and Leven finally finds the only family he has ever known, his grandmother.

The wonder wipes shirt represent how Leven will never really be part of the family at his aunt and uncle's house. "He always wore Levi's and one of the free T-Shirts Addy would occasionally get at work" (54). His guardians didn't even care for him enough to get him proper clothes, or anything that was really his.

Clover is a Synponat and Levens very first friend. Leven, being raised by horrid guardians, had never had the oppertunity, or wanted to make friends. Clover is the first sign that Leven dosent belong in the world he is currently in, and helps him feel like he is wanted somewhere. "You have a great gift, Lev, an extremly rare gift..... Clover smiled, his blue eyes squinting. Leven smiled back" (67).

One way I can relate to Leven Thumps is how the world discouraged him. Leven was on a really big quest, and he gave up several times because he was getting discouraged by Sabin's shadows or the world. The world today needs to get better on supporting peoples ideas, or beliefs, even if they don't agree with them. That doesn't mean though that we should go and do anything we want. In Romans 14:12 it says, "So then, each of us will give an account of ourselves to God."

In the book, Leven Thumps, by Obert Skye, Leven faces plethora's of internal conflict. One example is when Leven is when Leven and Clover encounter the avaland (an extremely dangerous dirt beast) and almost get eaten. "I don't believe in Foo. I don't believe in you, he said pointing at Clover, and I don't believe in you, he said looking at Winter. I'm sorry, Leven added, I guess I don't believe in me" (154). Leven struggles internal with believing in himself, and doing the things Fate wants him to do.

At the begging of the story, Leven doubted that he could accomplish his quest of closing the portal to Foo, which caused him to give up multiple times. He then learned that if fate didn't think he could accomplish this feat, than it wouldn't make him do it if he couldn't. That gave him the courage to try and succeed.

Leven struggles with a lot in Leven Thumps, but the thing he struggles with most is with Sabin's Shadows. The shadows cloud his mind, and his judgment making it almost impossible for him the see reason. At the end, he figured out that he didn't need to doubt himself and he could destroy the portal.

The jar that Levens grandma gave him represents new beginnings. When Leven first gets to Foo, his grandma, his first family he has ever know, gives him an explosive jar that closes the portal to Foo. The jar represents new beginnings because when he closes the portal to Foo, he can't get back to the human world. Since he can't make it back to the human world, he has to start his whole life over in Foo. The good thing is, he gets to spend the rest of his life with the only loving family his has ever known, his grandma.
