While these aspects still hold true, I have furthered my understanding of what it truly takes to achieve effective interprofessional collaboration. Learning about the domains of care particularly in the case study presentations, I have realized various hcps and services are necessary to fulfill a patient's needs as well as those supporting them. They are required to create healthcare plans in coordination with one another to reach the patient's goals so this takes a lot of compromise and mutual understanding. This must occur on both ends whether it is between hcps or hcp and patient. Informed consent must be obtained and if not, then as an interdisciplinary team a new plan must be decided upon for the best course of action. This would require me to practice my adaptability to work with the child life specialist and apply that to the way I conduct the radiographic exam for the pediatric patient and their family.
