I learned that as facilitators we aren’t supposed to be trainers or lecturers.Role play activity was a useful one which made me think what my priority and aim in participating this training.

For example I can use it to practice accepting and refusing invitations. The inner ring can invite the outer to an event and the outer ring can accept or refuse. Every time they change partners sentences should be different.
In PDC‘s we can use Teacher A and B role-play activity because it makes us think about what we really want in the classroom. If you give them think time they can produce better in speaking activities. another important note for me was that I don’t have to bring the students in front of the class to speak. Because in real life we don’t normally talk in front of the people. So it is not a life skill. However  if I want them to do the paperwork they don’t get nervous and all the students have the opportunity to show what they prepared. I also learned the secret of successful speaking activities which is staging them as pre-while and post. Finally I learned that outcomes don’t have to be the same for every student and it means that we have to differentiate the tasks in speaking too.
Give me five is a great warmer activity.It makes you think faster and you always end up counting more than five things.I think I’ll use it as it is. Paper slide is another fun activity. It is simple yet very effective.It also promotes creativity in the classroom.In my classes,I will ask my groups to stick their slides on the walls and make a gallery walk activity.I will observe and support them while speaking and clap hands to remind them to change positions every three minutes.]]> 2022-11-02 19:14:33 UTC https://padlet.com/keremaliyavuz/hemgyj2542xg3307/wish/2367259069 keremaliyavuz https://padlet.com/keremaliyavuz/hemgyj2542xg3307/wish/2368628597 I think my colleagues will find Running Dictation quite useful because the activity is a game which includes physical activity,reading and writing skills at the same time.It promotes teamwork and organization as well.I also think that it requires very little preparation time for the teacher.I believe that students from all levels will like it and it is worth trying in the PDC meetings.You can easily adjust the activity to the level you are teaching by making the texts longer or shorter according to your students’ level.

We can also ask them to make sentences including the word or they write.I think the vocabulary lists on their own doesn't work really well.For example,grouping or cateorizing has more advantages than just listing because that way students get to discover lots of connections with many other words.
I think Activity 8 on page 45 would be appropriate for my teaching context.I liked the activity because it is about talking appearances which is a subject we cover almost at every grade and use in daily life very often.From my point of view,the activity being both a guided and freer one is a reason to use.The task is easy but it also requires more attention to the details.I believe both weaker and students will enjoy that because finding differences is a task that students have been doing since primary even pre-school level.]]> 2022-11-05 15:03:53 UTC https://padlet.com/keremaliyavuz/hemgyj2542xg3307/wish/2371111144 keremaliyavuz https://padlet.com/keremaliyavuz/hemgyj2542xg3307/wish/2371761042 I think both peer and self assessment could work in my area.Self assessment provides guidance to show me what to focus on while teaching.It can also boost self-confidence by pointing out the strenghts of students.Today we learned a very useful activity that I am going to use in my classroom.The multiple choice cards look simple but doesn't take much time to create and it could be used for all levels.Especially colored cards are memorable and once my students get used to it,they are going to enjoy showing what they learned.
Peer assessment can be encouraging and it can benefit both students to those who give and receive recommendations.I believe hearing praise from peers could be really satisfying for my students.
