In college there are various sports which are played. Football, soccer, volleyball, and swimming are some of the sports that many athletes participate in. Today the sports can be attended by thousands of students and alumni an some of their games televised. Many athletes participating colleges usually have big porting events mainly in football and women's basketball.  Athletes may have an open the door for a professional career if their college program is large and are classified as Division I, or II. With many students at these colleges playing the NCAA was founded in 1910 due to severe injuries that where occurring in football. Since, this the association has created guidelines for student eligibility, financial aid, and academic requirements for athletes.
