In this picture, people are waiting in a long line for the soup kitchen where people who could not afford a meal could go and get their dinner. Many people could not afford their meals since they had lost their jobs and with the money they had, the money quickly disappeared from the families so they couldn't pay for a regular meal. Going to the soup kitchens provided families with a meal that would hold them over until the next day. This picture of people waiting in line for the Soup Kitchen during the Depression should have been added to the hyperdoc because the soup kitchens played a huge role in the time of Depression by providing people with meals.

(Represented by the man) The prosperity engine and the business boat are completely out of the water, quite possibly representing how they are useless to the tax payer. I believe it could've been added to the hyperdoc because it may have given more information on the struggles of the tax payer during the Great Depression.

This picture is in the town Flint and they wanted workers to have safe environments and higher wage. This is important because the Great Depression is what started these up and spread through Europe. This strike is also how individuals became a union. This strike was very successful but police interfered. In 1930 the Wager Act was passing and a major reason as to why was because of this strike.

This is former president Franklin Delano Roosevelt signing the emergency banking act of 1933. This act took an attempt at correcting the banking system, that during the great depression, was not working well. This act was followed a few days after the president set a bank holiday, which shut down the banking system and the federal reserve. The emergency banking act was also a way to get people more comfortable with banks by the time they reopened.
