This article displays the NRA's first released statement to the Las Vegas shootings: the NRA continues to push for the anti-recall of firearms by advocating for gun regulations on "bump stocks", which allow a semi-automatic firearm (which is legal) turn into a fully automatic firearm (which is in most cases illegal).  The NRA constantly pushes for the retention of the second amendment, as they truly believe that if law-abiding citizens are armed, active shooters will have more to think about if they decide to go on a mass shooting spree like Las Vegas, and  an extra armed citizen, is a higher chance that someone else, rather than law enforcement, will be able to stop the active shooter.

This article brings to light the 15 thousands of searches that happened at the US border is actually, illegal.  The officers conducting the search has no basis of reason to conduct a search on a citizen that is merely passing the border and has no right to search through the citizen's laptops or phones.
