How did the roman legionary influence our modern warfare?

The Roman legionary influenced our modern warfare in many ways. One way that is very frequently used in many of our modern armies. This method was different legions. The Roman army was divided into various legions which allowed the army to easily split into different groups when needed and to surround the enemy. This was very effective because it allowed them to not have one group force focused in one area. The second way that the Roman army influenced our modern warfare was by being a very versatile army. This allowed the army to have long range and close range all at once. This also allowed the army to hunt there own food and to not rely on the food supply lines. The food was also trained in architecture this allowed them to repair bridges if they were broken this made it easier for them to travel through areas. This was one of the major factors that allowed the Roman legionary to be a great success. Our military has taken influence by this and now has medics and is now very differentiated like any aerial and many more. The final and third factor that has influenced our army now is that the roman legionary had shields and better armor than any other army. This has influenced our modern armies by making them to focus on protection too. They don't use shields any more although they are still focused in the defense and this was influenced by the Roman legionary.

How did the Colosseum influence the entertainment of the citizens in Rome?
The Roman Gladiator Arena or better known as the Colosseum. The Colosseum was a major factor of the entertainment in Rome. It was a really big theater focused on gladiator battles to entertain the public. The normal Roman amphitheaters where half the whole Colosseum. The colosseum was commissioned around A.D. 70-72. The Colosseum was built as a gift to the citizens of Rome from the Emperor Vespasian of the Flavian dynasty. In A.D. 80, Vespasian’s son was the one that opened the colosseum. The official name of the Colosseum was the Flavian Amphitheater. This was a great amphitheater that was used for many purposes. Some of these purposes were wild animal fights, gladiator battles, and many other games. After four centuries had passed since the opening of the Flavian Amphitheater it sadly fell into neglect. The colosseum was used for materials until the 18th century this was when it stopped being used for material. In total ⅔ of the complete colosseum was destroyed over time. Although this big percentage of the colosseum was destroyed it is still a popular touristic place and is still a great symbol for Rome.

The Polytheistic Religion of the Roman Empire. What are the major gods in the roman religion and where did they come from?

Religion is the belief in a superior being like a god or many gods. The Roman empire had a very developed religion. The Romans believed in many gods this meant that they were polytheistic. They had three main gods which were a representation of the Greek Gods Poseidon, Zeus, and Hades. The name of these three gods in the Roman religion were Neptune, Jupiter, and Pluto. Neptune was the Roman god of the sea, earthquakes, and horse. Jupiter is the god of the sky and light. Pluto is the god of the underworld and the judge of the dead. After the Roman conquered the greek they adopted the Greek religion although a lot of the gods changed. For example, Zeus from Greek religion was mostly known as the ruler of the gods and was much nicer than when the Roman conquered. When the roman adopted Zeus they named him Jupiter his personality changed into a more aggressive manner and he was known for being a very grumpy god instead. All the Greek gods changed although many small gods were not impacted this due to that they were not the base of the religion. The major gods were the ones that suffered the most change. Their personality changed, their appearance changed, and their names changed. The personality of the became more aggressive and more focused on war. One major change from both religions is that Ares or Mars became a very important god in Roman mythology instead that in the greek religion he was not as important. Their appearance changed to look more aggressive and scarier. And their names changed to the name of planets. This is how roman mythology changed from Greek mythology and in which ways the god changed.
