The line that I like the most was " I am the darker brother. They send me to eat in Kitchen. But I Laugh and eat well, nd grow strong." I liked that line because It shows how he doesnt care if they don't let him sit by him at dinner. He still grows strong and eats healthy things. I basically liked the whole poem. Bu the last line I liked was " Tomorrow, I'll be at the table when company comes. Nobody'll dare to say to me, " eat in the kitchen." I liked that because at first his parents and siblings weren't letting him eat with them. Then, they noticed that he was strong and healthy and let him in.

My favorite line is " Besides they'll see how beautiful I am and be ashamed- I too am america. The authors trying to say don't judge a book by its cover because sometimes, just because something is different doesn't mean that it is worth less.

My favorite line was definitely "Besides, they will see how beautiful I am, and be ashamed." I just feel like this line holds so much power. I feel like it kind of explains 'don't judge a book by it cover" And it shows that the person the author is referring to is not afraid to be himself. He is very confident, and knows he is worth more than what others think of him.

The line'S that I like are, 1. "They send me to eat in the kitchen when company come, but I laugh." I like this line because it shows how in the darkest of times some people don't give up, and hope for the best, and act the best they can. The second line I liked was " Besides They'll see how beautiful I am and be ashamed." This line just so beautiful, his self confidence is amazing, and his attitude is crazy good. It shows how he knows where he stands and who he is., Which is just so beautiful.

My favorite line was They'll see how beautiful I am and be ashamed.
Its explaining that just because he may look different her or she can be kind people just because they have different skin or believe in some thing different then you there still people that can show love. When they made fun of them in there past or way back when people treated them wrong.Soon they will feel sorry of what they did to them or there states or countries past. You can be poor or judged or lost your family. Don't judge people if this happened to them. They can have a future that bring good.

My favorite line was, "Besides, They'll see how beautiful I am, and be ashamed."
I also think that when it says "I am the darker brother" it is saying that he is black, and that his family is treating him badly. I think it is cool that the guy says he still laughs, even though he is being treated so badly just because of his skin color.
