Canada is an American country that extends from the United States in the south to the Arctic Circle in the north. Canada is known worldwide as a multicultural, diverse and progressive country, which believes in the importance of immigration for the enrichment of culture. Historically, Canadian culture was built by French and English elements combined with the local Aboriginal tradition. Most Canadians are Catholic, but the country does not have an official religion. The precepts of Buddhism, Hinduism and Sikhism are also practiced in various regions of Canada. Canadian cuisine is diverse, with elements of French and English cuisine mixed with ingredients originating in Canada.

Canada's climate is characterized by diversity. Temperatures change according to region and season, and can vary from 35oC in summer to -30oC in winter. But overall, Canada has four well-defined stations, and you can enjoy the country at all seasons of the year

Poutine is the most famous typical dish in Canada and is nothing more than a mixture of chips, cheese and sauce. Its creation took place in the province of Quebec. To prepare, the potato is cut into medium sticks and fried in lard (and not in oil). As for cheese, its curd part is used. The sauce is made with beef, chicken or vegetarian versions. With the fame of the dish, today there are already several variations.

Maple syrup; syrup is not exactly a dish, but it is the most famous food in the country. Few things are as Canadian and symbolize both the country and it. It is popularly consumed with pancakes or waffles, but it can also be used in other recipes. When you have an exchange in Canada, you will certainly cross with maple syrup a few times during meals. The maple is a tree from Canada and its leaf appears on the flag of the country.
