Lidl only use plastic for food that needs it the most like strawberries not bananas. Because bananas have skin and you don’t eat it. Strawberries will get squashed when you put them in the car.

For supermarkets you could try and use less plastic for wrapping up foods. You could also try and make plastic items more reusable.

Morrisons if your products do not have to be in plastic, put them in other materials such as paper/cardboard, waterproof materials or if they don’t need to be wrapped in anything don’t use anything at all. #PlasticFree

An important peace of advice B&M might be that you should stop using as much plastic when selling their toys and other things that are single use and that people will throw away and instead, should just use cardboard and have a picture on the front so people know what they’re buying #PlasticFree

Some pieces of advice I would give to you are,

Use plastic for things which if you dropped, they would be squashed or splat. For things like bananas, you wouldn’t need a cover because they have a skin to protect it so if you dropped it, you could still be able to eat it because it has that skin over it. There are some advantages such as keeping them fresh and stopping germs from other people, but you don't need to use it for everything. You could use things such as cardboard, and use some reusable material like paper. #PlasticFree

Fast-food restaurants maybe you could stop using plastic and use different materials eg(either Glass,platinum silicone,pottery and other ceramics or anything else that is reusable and easy to make that doesn’t harm the environment.#plastic free

McDonald's I think you should start using a recycling bin and a waste bin because when you use a regular bin a lot of food goes to waste and plastic is not recycled so I think you should start to use separate bins to help the environment and our planet. #PlasticFree

For sainsburys, Plastic covers on food like on strawberries can harm the environment and fill more landfills. So i think you should use reusable plastics so you can store the food

If you use different materials like cardboard and paper it is better even though you are cutting down trees it is better for sea creatures and sea birds because you just dump it on land and that’s not good for any one because it is there for a very long time if we recycled more it would be better.

I think that supermarkets need to stop putting plastic on fruits and vegetables and other foods that already have a peel or skin that already keeps the food fresh. Try and use different types of materials like metal , paper or cardboard instead of plastic all of the time becasue if hurts and affects out environment very badly. I can ask you to try and get more long lasting plastics so that you can reuse then and not just throw them away really fast. Try and save our environment and our selfs. Make more things like paper bags, paper straws and all types of different things like that. It is very useful and helpful to our community.

co-op should stop using as much plastic as possible and try to use other plastic-free materials when they are selling their products such as paper bags or if you are selling fruits you can always put them in crates. #PlasticFree

Hello to all those supermarkets and other shops out there I would like to remind you about plastic waste and that its harms our environment. First of all to change some of this you could think about what types of materials you’re using and what items. For example: things like raspberry’s you should use plastic because otherwise they would get squashed and the bag would get all wet from the moisture. But for things like avocados, bananas and kiwi’s they have skin on them to protect them so if you drop them and they still had the skin on then they would still be alright to eat.

I think that supermarkets should only use plastic packaging when it is necessary because some foods don’t need packaging at all and you could see whether there is a better material you could use, like paper bags or cardboard boxes.

I would say “maybe you need to try think about what needs plastic and what does not need plastic for example raspberries you would need plastic for that because if you dropped it in the bag it would go sush but if you dropped a cucumber or a banana then the cucumber has it's skin and the banana has a skin to protect itself.

I would tell Starbucks to use more glass or pottery cups when inside and to also use recycling bins as well as food waste and others. You could also use bamboo lids as they’re strong and easy to grow.

A piece of advice I would give you to improve you company is don’t use as much plastic in your food shop maybe you could try paper and cardboard or reuse the plastic after you discard it.Another ideas is reusable bins so you could take the plastic to a recycling place and use it again.Another idea is using wooden crates instead of plastic ones. #PlasticFree

I think Sainsbury’s should use less plastic in there supermarket by having different products that don’t have plastic packages instead they should have more cardboard. Furthermore, they should not have packaging on some foods that do not require it.

Dear Coca Cola I believe that you are one of the top plastic consumer companies so to help you I have some tips:

You could use bamboo instead of plastic as it works as good as plastic when formed correctly and is efficient
You could try to reduce the plastic bottles you create replacing them with another material or using the cheapest types of metals for cans so that they’re cheap to make and don’t polluter as much

Consequences of your work:

The effect you do to the environment by making plastic bottles as huge as, people usually throw your plastic bottles on the floor and the consequence is that the plastic gets eaten by animals. They are also many of the consequences so follow these tips and take action!

To supermarkets across the world here is a piece of advice to help improve plastic pollutions across the globe. You should consider if plastic packaging in food or drinks is necessary because some food like a banana don’t need plastic packaging. We know that plastic is easy and cheap to make but it harms our environment and our wildlife for example birds thinks that plastic is food and it slowly effects them by making them think that they are full but they are not. Some examples of what you can use instead of plastic is paper, glass or may be metal even if it might be harder and more expensive to make.
