The festival is Cali´s Fair. Which is done in the last week of December.

It is located in Santiago de Cali

3. How do you describe the festival?

The festival consists of several activities that are carried out day by day, starting with the Rumbodromo, the old cars parade, the ancient Cali parade. Also, we have a popular event that is called:  the cali´s fair street which is programed the last day of the week and it is very fun because there are 3 tents and in each of them performance differents gender music like: salsa, vallenato and reggeaton.

This Carnival is intangible heritage of Humanity because every day has a different activity and that’s what makes it a lot of fun. It starts with the Castañeda´s family parade, then we have the black´s people day on January 5. After that the people celebrated the white´s people day on January 6. This parade is very special because it held the creativity of the nariñense culture.

I would invite foreigners to the Cali fair, it is a festival where you learn to dance salsa, it is a unique event that has a different program every day to have fun

People can go out to enjoy each parade scheduled day by day at the Cali fair, they can also go to all the salsa events and concerts, they can also try the gastronomy.

3 What shouldn’t foreigners do in the festival?

Foreigners should not drink a lot of alcohol, not expose themselves too much because ill-intentioned people can take advantage and steal their belongings.

Foreigners should have a lot of fun, go out to all the events planned at the Fair that are usually salsa and Reggaeton events, taste the gastronomy, live the experience to the fullest of the Fair taste Cali.

Foreigners can visit: The hill of the three crosses, the river boulevard, the Jairo Varela square, the cat park and if they have time they can visit the Cali Zoo.

The possible activities that foreigners can do, is to go to the super concert where they will enjoy and enjoy the rhythm of salsa, they can also enjoy the programming that the Cali Fair has every day

The plan I would recommend: Don't miss for any reason the first day of the fair called Salsodromo

Foreigners have lived many experiences apart from dancing salsa, they have also lived the kindness of the people and their culture making more and more foreigners arrive in this city.
