         <description><![CDATA[<div>Nicholas II was born on May 18, 1868 and assassinated july 17, 1918. Nicholas II and Alexandra Feodorovna  had four daughters and a son, Alexis, who suffered from the disease haemophilia. He ascended to the throne following the death of his father in 1894.<br>Nicholas II was the last tsar of Russia under Romanov rule. His poor handling of Bloody Sunday and Russia’s role in World War I led to his abdication and execution.          <description><![CDATA[<div>Rasputin is best known for his role as a mystical adviser in the court of Czar Nicholas II of Russia, Nicholas thought he was saving the life of his sick son. He was born january 21, 1869 and die december 30, 1916.  Rasputin became swept up in the events of the Russian Revolution and met a brutal death at the hands of assassins in 1916. A group of conspiration did not like him because Alexandra always asked him for advices.          <description><![CDATA[<div>Alexander Kerensky was born may 4, 1881, Ulyanovsk and died june 11, 1970.Alexander was a Russian lawyer, politician and statesman. He was one of the key political figures between March and October 1917, when he was a minister and later Prime Minister of the Russian Provisional Government. After the February Revolution of 1917, he joined the newly formed Russian Provisional Government, first as Minister of Justice, then as Minister of War, and after July as the government's second Minister-Chairman. After the Bolsheviks took power, Kerensky tried to consolidate forces for a counter-attack, but was not successful.<br><a href="https://www.bl.uk/people/alexander-kerensky">https://www.bl.uk/people/alexander-kerensky</a></div>]]></description>

         <title>V.I Lenin</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Lenin was born in april 22, 1870 and died in january 21, 1924, Gorki leninskiye. He  was the leader of the radical socialist Bolshevik Party, which seized power in the October phase of the Russian Revolution of 1917. He became politically radicalized after his older brother was executed in 1887 for plotting to assassinate Czar Alexander III. When Lenin returned home to Russia in April 1917, the  Russian Revolution was already beginning.          <title>Joseph stalin</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Stalin was born in december 18, 1878, Gori, Georgia and died in March 5, 1952, Moscow, Russia. Stalin turned the Soviet Union from a backward country into a world superpower at unimaginable human cost.<br>His Red Army helped defeat Nazi Germany during  WWII. In 1902, he was arrested for coordinating a labor strike and exiled to Siberia, the first of his many arrests and exiles in the fledgling years of the Russian Revolution. <br> After Lenin’s death, in January 1924, Stalin promoted an extravagant, quasi-Byzantine cult of the deceased leader. Archpriest of Lenism, Stalin also promoted his own cult in the following year by having the city of Tsaritsyn renamed Stalingrad.          <description><![CDATA[<div>Trotsky was born in November 7, 1879, Bereslavka, ukraine and assassinated in August 21, 1940, Coyoacan, Mexico. Leon Trotsky  was a communist theorist and Soviet politician. While Lenin assumed leadership of the Bolshevik faction, Trotsky became a member of the Menshevik faction and developed his theory of 'permanent revolution. <br>Trotsky waged Russia's 1917 revolution alongside Vladimir Lenin. As commissar of war in the new Soviet government, he helped defeat forces opposed to Bolshevik control. After the outbreak of revolution in Petrograd in February 1917, he made his way back to Russia.<br><br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>World War I began in 1914, after the assassination of <strong>Archduke Franz Ferdinand</strong>, and lasted until 1918. During the conflict the central power, (Germany, Austria-Hungary, Bulgaria and the Ottoman Empire) fought against the Allied Powers (Great Britain, France, Russia, Italy, Romania, Japan and the United States). <br>After four years of fighting and the deaths of 8.5 millions soldiers as a result of wounds or diseases like influenza, foot trench and others, the allies won the war. New military technology resulted in unprecedented carnage, some of this new technology are machine gun, armored tanks, submarines and airplanes. <br>Over 300,000 lost on each side, the battle of verdun was the longest battle and it was 10 months and it was in February 1916. <br><a href="https://mcs.schoology.com/assignments/1985268535/mydocument">https://mcs.schoology.com/assignments/1985268535/mydocument</a> </div>]]></description>

         <title>Bloody sunday</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Bloody sunday is a demonstration in Londerry , North Ireland, on Sunday, January 30, 1972, by Roman Catholic civil rights  supporters that turned violent when British paratroopers opened fire, killing 13 and injuring 15 others. The protesters, all Northern Catholics, were marching in protest of the British policy of internment of suspected Irish nationalists. British authorities had ordered the march banned, and sent troops to confront the demonstrators when it went ahead.j The Bloody sunday is one of the darkness days of the Northern ireland Troubles.          <description><![CDATA[<div>The february Revolution started by massive strikes in February caused by food shortages. Women rioted for bread and were supported by soldiers. The demonstrators demanded overthrow of the tsar and the creation of a provisional government. Thousands of soldiers gave the support to the revolution even though they were send to end the violent protests.          <description><![CDATA[<div>On the night of October 24, 1917, Bolshevik Red Guards began to take control of key points in the Russian capital railway station, telegraph offices, and government building. The october revolution  the second and last major phase of the Russian Revolution of 1917, in which the Bolshevik Party seized power in Russia, inaugurating the Soviet regime. The Bolsheviks signed ta peace treaty with Germany ending involvement in WWW1.          <description><![CDATA[<div><br>Civil war broke up in Russia in late 1917 after the Bolshevik Revolution. The warring factions included the Red and White Armies.  The  Red Army fought for the Lenin’s Bolshevik government.          <title>Treaty of Brest-Litovs</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>On March 3, 1918, in the city of Brest-Litovsk, Russia signed a treaty with the central power ending its participation in WW1. The treaty was cancelled because allies won over Germany. Peace negotiations, which the Soviet government had requested on Nov. 8, 1917, began on December 22. They were divided into several sessions, during which the Soviet delegation tried to prolong the proceedings and took full advantage of its opportunity to issue propaganda statements. <br>The Russians lost more than 300,000 square miles of territory and in excess of 50 million people.<br><a href="https://www.u-s-history.com/pages/h1341.html">https://www.u-s-history.com/pages/h1341.html</a><br><br></div>]]></description>
