Inconsistencies

There are many inconsistencies in this case… some things that just don't add up. Many of the inconsistencies have to deal with Jay Wilds and what he claims in his interviews. Jay is notorious for lying to the police and saying one thing but then another time saying a completely different thing. In the serial podcast, there was a specific episode that dedicated all of the inconsistencies of the case in just one episode. In episode four of the serial podcast was all of the inconsistencies. Some of the inconsistencies in the case that came from Jay was that in the first interview that the cops had with Jay, Jay told them that he had no involvement with the disposal of Haes body. But in a later interview, he told the cops that he did in fact help Adnan buried her body in Leakin Park. Another major inconsistency that Jay showed was when he told the cops that he first saw Hae’s body on Edmondson Ave but then later told the police that he saw his body in the Best Buy parking lot. You would think you would remember where are you saw a dead body at but apparently Jay was very confused and forgetful of where he saw Haes dead, decaying body. Another huge inconsistency with Jays interviews, was when Jay said that Adnan told him the same day that he was going to kill Hae but then two weeks later they said that Adnan had started talking about it beforehand possibly four or five days prior. All of these inconsistencies show me and show the rest of the viewers of the podcast that Jay is a very unreliable source of information and he cannot be trusted. He keeps on lying and forgetting key parts of what happened which just does not sound right to me. All of these inconsistencies are found in the Serial podcast in episode four. In the HBO documentary Hae's lividity was brought up. Jay stated that Hae was pretzeld up in the trunk of her car. Meaning her lividity would have been all over her body, but when her body was taken in for examination, the doctors concluded that her lividity was just on the front of her body. This means that she would have been facing down for at least 6-8 hours. THis is another inconsistency from Jay which just makes him more of a suspicious person and not trustworthy.

Conclusion of guilt or innocence

In conclusion, I still remain to believe that Adnan Syed is innocent. From the first time that I listened to Serial and to the last episode of Serial and watching the HBO documentary series, I still think that he is innocent. I feel really bad that this case is still ongoing and that he is not given a chance to prove his innocence. He is sitting in jail for something that he did not do and now he has to spend the rest of his life sitting there for a murder that he did not commit. Now the person who did commit the murder is walking the streets, possibly has a family of their own, and not having to worry about the crime that they committed. I do not believe that he killed Hae Min Lee. With all of the overwhelming evidence to support that he did not kill her and that it would be physically impossible for him to commit this crime. Furthermore, there was no fingerprints, no DNA, no physical evidence to show that Adnan had any links or ties to this crime. Yet he was still convicted and sentenced to life in prison. I believe that this case was handled incorrectly and that there should have been more DNA testing done and more people to investigate further that could have had more of a role in this case that Adnan did.

NEW HBO INFO

In the HBO documentary, they explained that Don did not check into work on January 13th. The police never checked into Don's whereabouts. The police only wanted to find evidence that linked Adnan to the crime and blocked everyone else out. There was also a fingerprint on the side mirror of Hae car window that they never DNA tested which could have been the killers fingerprint. Jay also could have got the whole story from the police. In the interview tape that was on the documentary you can hear them (the detectives) tapping on the table which could mean they were pointing out things for Jay to say. Also the interview with Jay started two hours after Jay got to the station so who knows what they were discussing or planning to say when they started the tape. Mr. S has a record with the law for public nudity so his fingerprints were taken after his crime but no DNA was ever tested or taken from Don. This is very strange. The police were all over the ex-boyfriend but never really got into the current boyfriend. The states timeline and the forensic timeline do not match up based on his lividity. The states timeline was from 2:30 to 7:30 but based on Hayes lividity for the forensic timeline it was from 2:30 to 10:30. the reason why the states timeline is wrong is because he's lividity how to take 6-8 hours two step Place meaning if she was strangled to death around 2:30 it would have to take at least till 8 for her lividity to start and the state's timeline says 7:30 so it is not logical. Another key point in the HBO documentary was that the police never tested the trunk of his car where her body was which seems very odd. You would think they would definitely check and test where the body was supposedly located says Jay but they ended up not testing for any DNA. In the HBO documentary they tell us a little more about Jay's post convictions and crimes after his death. Jay was charged with assault of a police officer and armed with firearm. Jay never got any jail time which is very suspicious.t's like he knows how to manipulate the law and he always gets away with murder.
