In our rural setting, where approximately 100% of our 4200 learners are eligible for free and reduced lunch, we've become more than just a school – we're a lifeline for our predominantly immigrant farm-working families. Recognizing that health, mental health, and basic needs are daily struggles, our community school aims to make a meaningful impact. We've forged partnerships to provide integrated services that go beyond academics. From on-site mental health to dedicated case management services, we address our families' unique challenges. In this rural landscape, our commitment extends to approximately 480 homeless youth. We've established a support system that meets their educational needs and addresses their fundamental challenges. We create a safety net for families through collaborative efforts, providing education and a foundation for well-being. Kaweah Health has been an ongoing partner, and together, we have collaborated on several grants to educate our community regarding Chronic Disease, Diabetes, and Mental Wellness. We partner with supporting focus groups as they build their adolescent mental health programs, and recently will be supporting their efforts at our center for Maternal and Child Health.

Hope Horizon Mental Health

Hope Horizon has been a community partner of our FRC for over 25 years, providing specialty mental health services directly on our school campuses. They provide general therapy, sexual abuse treatment, case mgmt/rehabilitation, crisis intervention, and medication support services.

Turning Point of Central California

Turning Point has been our partner for 25 years, providing short-term child mental health services. Through one of their satellite locations in the nearby community Exeter, they have offered specialty mental health services to our schools and at their center.

Central Valley Recovery Services

CVRS is our partner for providing alcohol and drug interventions to adolescents 12 and older. CVRS provides services at four of our learning communities and during fall, winter and summer breaks they continue services at the Family Resource Center.

Tulare County Office of Education- Dream Center
